Biography
Dr. Laing is the Managing Director of Sciendum Ltd, an information security company specializing in providing digital security advice to SMEs, he also acts as a security consultant for the European Network & Information Security Agency. He was one of the founders of GCHQ Cyber Security Research Institute, and his research focuses on emergent complex behaviour in information infrastructures, with a particular interest in the threats to, and vulnerabilities that exist within Industrial Control Systems. He is a Fellow of the IET, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and has been adopted by a rescue dog
